A PRAYER FOR DAILY USE

O Lord, in me Thy mighty power exert, Ps. 110.

Enlighten, comfort, sanctify my heart; Isa. 43.

Sweeten my temper, and subdue my will, Luke 22.

Make me like Jesus – with Thy Spirit fill. Phil. 2.

I want to live on earth a life of faith. Gal. 2.

I want to credit all the Bible saith; 2 Pet. 1.

I want to imitate my Saviour’s life. Luke 2.

Avoiding lightness, gloom, and sinful strife. Ps. 119.

I want to bring poor sinners to Thy throne. Jo. 4.

I want to honour and love Christ alone; Jo. 21.

I want feel the Spirit’s inward power, Luke 11.

And stand prepared for death’s eventful hour. Luke 12.

I want a meek, a gentle, quiet frame. Matt. 5.

A heart that glows with love to Jesus’ name; Phil. 2.

I want a living sacrifice to be, Romans 12.

I want to do whatever God requires, 3 Heb. 10.

I want my heart to bum with pure desires. Ps. 42.

I want to be what Christ my Lord commands. Matt. 5.

And leave myself, my all, in His blest hands. Job I.

O Lord, pour out Thy Spirit on my soul, Rom. 8.

My will, my temper, and my tongue control; 2 Thes. 5.

Lead me through life to glorify Thy grace, Jo. 14.

And after death, to SEE THEE FACE TO FACE! Rev. 5.
