DESIRE

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple” Psalm 27.4.

Lord, I desire one thing from Thee,

To dwell within Thy courts,

To live in fellowship with Thee,

Have Thee in all my thoughts.

Lord, I desire one thing from Thee,

I must behold Thy face,

Spend all my days in praising Thee,

And magnify Thy grace.

Lord, I desire one thing from Thee,

Teach me to intercede,

Claim gracious promises from Thee,

And for Thy Church to plead.

Lord, I desire one thing from Thee,

To dwell, to see, to ask,

Lead me in seeking this from Thee,

Be this my life’s chief task.
