BELIEVERS’ COMMUNION
The sweetest pleasures of God’s dear children are in fellowship with the Father and the Son, through the Spirit. Every step in communion with God is a paradise. How can it be less, since they are led by that hand, at which are rivers of pleasures; lie in that bosom, which is infinitely sweeter than myrrh, aloes and cassia;
walk in the light of that countenance, from whose smile spring all the delights of heaven, are always in view of that beauty, which makes heaven glorious, and all who behold it happy? They sit under the shadow of that tree of life, and have the banner of Christ’s love for their canopy; feast daily upon the choicest delicacies of Christ’s banqueting house, and drink of that pure water of the river of life which proceeds out of the throne of God and the Lamb.
